I was diagnosed with food poisoning on Friday. It all started with pain on the lower abdominal. Thinking it was just cramps, I ignore and continue with my daily activities. The pain got worst and I started vomiting. I was breaking into cold sweat and I turned really pale. The worst thing was I am the only one at home. My siblings were either working or schooling. No kidding, I thought I was going to die soon. I called my elder sis and told her to get home asap. My bro called and ask me to make my way to the clinic while waiting for my sis. At that point of time, I find it ridiculous for me to get to the clinic alone. Anyway, I still did and doctor concluded that I had food poisoning.

Doctor: So what did you ate yesterday?
Me: I had a pancake for dinner and some bread for brunch.
Doctor: What! Pancake for dinner?? No wonder you are as thin as a satay stick. When was the last time you had a proper meal.

Doctor continued to ask me what I had for the past 2 days. It could be the Fish&Co I ate on Wednesday night. The toxic in seafood sometimes takes 1-2 days to take effect. He advised me to have proper meals with all the proteins and vitamins else I might be diagnosed with gastric problems in future.

I am off to eating junks again. Seems that I did not learn any lesson from the food poisoning incident. No one to remind me of not eating oily or anything harmful to the gastric.

I miss mummy, daddy and home cooked food.

I'll be having my break from 25 July 06 - 31 July 06. I'll be free for outings and many more! My last day with the company was 24 July 2006. Time really flies. I had been with the company for 14 months, the department for 11 months. All the misery had ended. Now its time to enjoy and prepare myself for 01 Aug 2006.

Janet's 21st birthday celebration was held at NUS Guild House located at Suntect. It was kind of a rooftop bbq. Weather was really good that day and we were lucky to able to catch glimpse of fireworks. After that, Agnes, Nana, Wen and Me headed down to Zouk. Haha. It was a truly an enjoyable night.

Gonna catch up with some reading during this 1 week break. Borrowed from Waicheng Shopaholic Series and I got myself a book from Times. I am never a fan of books but I have to admit I do derive some pleasure from reading.

Most people will give excuses like they will fall asleep once they hold a book etc. Sometimes its not the book that bores them, its their mentality. If you think you can, you will be able to do it. Choose something that interests you. You will never know what you can gain until you start reading.

Last week was a fruitful one. Lots of shopping, enjoyment and good food.

Wednesday - 28/06
Caught Scary Movie 4 with AK,Waicheng,Shukai and Yapmeng. Watch it during weekdays. Its a super short movie but its worth for a good laugh. An ideal relaxation after a long day at work. After that was a short chill out at Cartel.

Thursday - 29/06
Signed my appointment letter with the new company.

Friday - 30/06
Meet Baoqi for some Hongkong Cafe treats at Marina Square. My latest food craze is HK cafe for their french toast and their ice yuan yang. We had dumplings, bake rice, noodles and ice yuan yang.

Saturday - 01/07
Its shopping time with the gals, Nana and Agnes. Had Ajisen for lunch. Their ramen does not taste as good. I think I will give it a miss next time. I did not get anything from Zara sales but at Mango instead. Had lots of fun choosing and trying clothes with the gals in the sale. The 3 of us bought 2 same tops. Besides that, i bought another top from Staplewear and some cosmetics from Ettusais . No doubt I spent alot but I am really happy. Happy with my purchases and spending time with great peeps.

This whole week has been rather mundane. Met up with Yuanru on Friday at PS for the movie, Superman Returns. The movie was rather disappointing. In my point of view, its kind of draggy and not much of action. What is Superman without much flying around and saving people?

Went Orchard yesterday with Agnes and Sukhing to get Janet's birthday present. I had a pleasant surprise. I saw Puwen at Taka!! He looked shocked when he saw me waving to him. Haha. Its really nice to see him after so long and we made a pact to meet up someday. We managed to get the present settled. Agnes's bf came to meet us and we headed down to Marina's HK cafe for dinner. After dinner, was home sweet home.

Today was pure lazing at home. Had a really good rest but not good enough to prepare myself for work tomorrow. Really dread going to work.

However, if it doesn't kill me, it will only make me stronger. I am stronger each day. =)

Resignation

I did it on 30 June 2006. Finally, an end to my unhappiness and misery in the department.
One of my not so close colleague was surprise at my decision though she knows my frustration. She thought I would stay longer and see if things will turn out better. However, I told her it still lies in the attitude of the people.

My supervisor's reaction to my resignation was cold. She said this "So you have found a job? When are you starting?" This shows that my decision was right. She gave me the "So you are finally leaving" that kind of feeling.

No more of taking phone calls, retrieving folders, scolding from agents and many more of clearing shit for the department.

My departure is finalized. Will be joining a new company on 01 August 2006. I'll be back at Raffles place!! Miss the food and crowd there. Haha. I love working in Shenton Way. I hope I'll be able to settle there for long and work towards my goal. Whatever it is, it all lies in my attitude.

Sidetracking from my resignation, Germany won Argentina!! My prediction is right!! Though Argentina players are strong, Germany are not weak either. A lot of people had place their bet on Argentina. To me, Argentina seems to be overconfident. Too bad, I did not place any bet else I would have won some money. Haha.

Going town with Nana for some shopping later on. May I get some good deals from Zara sales!!
