Happy Boxing Day~

Happy Boxing Day!!

The day is spent simply at home and lunch at Fish&Co for lunch with Sheila and Mummy. The crowd at Bugis is terrible. I hate going out on public holidays. I guess the crowd at Orchard is even worst.

I wonder if people meant what they said when they send those greetings SMS or just send for the sake of sending coz its an occasion.

Nevertheless, its still nice to receive such sms. It feels as though you are being remembered. But I still think some people just send for the sake of doing so. Haha~.

I received a Christmas SMS at around 4 plus in the afternoon yesterday. Initially, I din manage to catch who the sender was as its not a number in my contact list. Looking at the number, I immediately knew who was it. I believe the msg was sent for the sake of sending. I stared hard at the msg, thinking if I should reply. In the end, I wished him back out of politeness.

Chatted with Shukai in MSN just now, we both agreed that time pass really fast. I also realized that it has been one year since tsunami. I hope the victims are coping well now.

Gotta get back to work tomorrow. It feels good to get back to work after having a long weekend. I kind of miss having breakfast at my work station. I know that sounds funny. Another great thing is there is another long weekend for me to look forward to. This reminds me that 2005 is coming to an end. 2006 is on its way...!!

Hmm.. Think its time to draft out my 2006 resolutions..

Its Christmas Eve.. Went out with mummy to Bugis just now to do some shopping. Its so crowded. Guess that most people are doing last minute Christmas shopping.

Being a nice daughter, I treated mummy to Sakae Sushi dinner.

Saw a few familiar faces as well. Saw Carol and gang plus one AIA agent. Everyone seems to be so occupied with Christmas celebration except me.

Received lots of Christmas SMSes as well but I still don't feel any Christmas atmosphere. No doubt, I am feeling a little down but at least I have my mummy with me.

To Wen:
I am not angry with ya and not with anyone. Just feel kind of disappointed with certain issues. Anyway, have a Merry Christmas ya? If possible, we will have a gathering during New year's eve? Else, we will have it some other time.

Alot of people ask me what are my plans for Christmas this year. I had none. No gatherings for me. I have yet to receive any Christmas presents this year except a card from an unexpected secondary school friend.

In the recent years, nothing good has happen to me nearing Christmas. I used to love this season but now I begin to dread Christmas. Grandma pass away on Monday night. I felt really sad. The kind of sadness could not be express through tears. I wanted to cry but nothing came out. Even at the cremation ceremony just now, I could not cry. I somehow learned not to show my emotions easily.

Life still have to go on, no matter what kind of situations we faced.

I had came to understand that death is just part and parcel of life. One day, we all have to leave this earth to another world.

Sometimes, we all take people around us for granted. Its time to show them how much you care before you regret. Do not treasure only when you have lost. Treasure what you have now.

This year's Christmas is going to be a lonely one for me. I feel kind of pathetic without any gatherings for me. All my friends are either busy having gatherings with their other groups of friends or with their bf/gf. Guess that I am just not included in their list for gatherings.

Months ago, I initiated to Wen they all to have one at my house on Christmas day but no one responded. Wen smsed and asked if the gathering is still on. I am not sure if this is an example of taking for granted. Taking for granted that I will plan everything and inform the others. I do not mind planning if I get good response. Sometimes, planning something alone can be rather tedious.

I begin to feel that I am pretty nothing much to my friends or people around me. Do not ask me why I feel this way. No sense of belonging here and there. Just take this Christmas for example. Friends whom I wished to gather with doesn't seem to want to gather with me. I hope I am just feeling paranoid.

As I mentioned in the previous post, there are lots to update on what I did over the weekends.

Farewell Gathering for Esther (10/12/05)
Esther just left for Las Vegas on Monday to further her studies and I forgot to sms her to give her my wishes!!

Anyway, the sec school gals planned a farewell gathering for her. Initial plan was to sing KTV in the day and then dinner. However, our dear Esther have to leave at 3 plus to visit her relatives in Malaysia. So, the plan was changed to K lunch at KBOX Marina from 11-2 and somewhere to chill after that.

We had a mini gift presenting session out KBOX. All of us present Esther with gifts we want her to bring to U.S. I gave her a photoframe with a pic we took at the last gathering at Sakae. Simple and meaningful, hope she likes it.

After the gathering, I went to Heatwave for my haircut. Heatwave sucks. I will never step in again. I kind of miss my rebonded hair. Haha~ My curls are back again. Time to plan for some treatment or rebonding session.

Met Waicheng for dinner and shopping session at Bugis. Chatted alot with her over dinner. We shared the same views on lots of things and not to forget we like to shop!! It really feels nice to have a junior that you can clique with. Age is not a factor to a great friendship. We both bought something for ourselves that night. Shopping makes Lynnie a happy gal~ Haha~ More shopping for me please...!!

Sunday - 11/12/05
Went out with my dearest Ru. This gal is finally to meet me after being so busy with her uni life. Sometimes I envy her for being able to continue her studies. But looking at the amount of school work she has to cope with, I start to have mix feelings.

Anyway, accompany Ru to Fareast to shop and had her haircut. While waiting for Ru to finish her haircut, I shop again. There goes my hard earn money. Haha~

After all the haircut and shopping, we went over to Bossini to wait for Wen to end work. Dinner was settled at the Japanese restaurant at the basement of Cine. Saw some familiar faces there as well. Had a chilling session at John Little's Starbucks. Toffle Nut Latte simply roxs!! I don't usually take hot drinks at Starbucks but that totally change my views. Go grab one now. Its only available throughout the Christmas season.

That's all for Sunday.

Its Thursday now. Weekends is coming soon...!! Time really flies.

I finally find the courage to consult an eye specialist with regards to my eye condition. Had been avoiding the issue for quite sometime. I knew sometime was wrong with my eye but I just don't want to face it. As expected, I could not wear contact lenses for long duration. My eyes are pretty sensitive.

I have to admit I like to look nice. Which gal doesn't? I felt pretty down after I heard what the doctor said but what can I do. To look nice and put my eyes at risk? I rather not.

So, I gonna compensate myself by getting a nice glasses...!! Funky and nice ones....!!

People, please give me your suggestions...!

AIA D&D 2005 - World Fiesta

Theme for D&D was World Fiesta not Around the world. I got the wrong theme. I met up with Jessica and Colin at City Hall MRT before we took a cab to Riz Carlton. The reason that we reached so early was that we all gonna dance on stage later and we had to prepare for it~ We knew we gonna be chosen and we were out to win the title of "Best Dress table".

Reached Riz Carlton at around 2 plus. Waited for others to come and we managed to get into the hotel room that the department had booked.

This is what we can see from the window in the room. Nice view of Singapore. I bet it gonna be nicer at night.

As expected, we got chosen as one of the top 3 best dressed tables and we won!! Our preparation for the dance was not wasted. Yesterday was my first time dancing infront of so many people and showing of my not so nice belly!! The winning table gets $1000 worth of cash. So, we are getting $100 each~

After the D&D, most of the perm staffs stayed overnight at the room booked by the department. Din join them as I am still feeling sick. Furthermore, I am not close to them. Long story, shall not talk about office politics. Haha~

Overall, D&D was fun except for certain things. Many of my first time was given to AIA that night~ Whahaha~

Din really take much pictures.. Well, at least those are better than nothing.

Now I wonder, whats the theme for D&D next year? Hope I am still there to attend.

I am sick.. Usual flu and fever.. Fancy getting sick on the day of D&D. Lucky thing was that I do not have to work today. Big boss gave us a day off~ I still went to see the doctor in the morning. Gave me tons of pills.

No matter how sick I am, I am not gonna miss out all the fun later.
