Before its too late, let me say Happy 40th Birthday Singapore!!

My national day is spent chilling up at home with my family. I woke up at 1pm today and like 1/2 of the day is gone! Had lunch at the hawker centre with my bro and sisters and surprisingly I can't finish my plate of chicken rice. I found too oily. I guess I'm becoming more health conscious?

Its a family tradition for us to have a feast while watching the national day parade. Usually, we would like cook something but this year round, we ordered pizza hut.

Yearly, we would await for the display of fireworks from Kalling stadium. Thinking that its at the Padang this year, we won't be able to get to see them. To our surprise, we were actually able to! Managed to take a few snap shots of the fireworks but only 2 of them are nice enough to be displayed.

That's all about national day.

Shall update on what I did for the past few days. Was busy chilling and meeting up with friends from Friday to Monday.

Friday
Went Citylink's Nooch to celebrate Ru's birthday. Most of the poly gfs were present: Jiahui, Karen, Nana, Puayeng,Agnes and her bf and not forgetting me.

After dinner at nooch, we felt that its still early to head for home and went cartel to chill instead. Had a great time chatting and cracking jokes. Most importantly, was that the birthday gal enjoyed herself.

Saturday
The whole day was spent enjoying. Waicheng and me had a date with Charlie and the chocolate factory at PS GV. Haha. Both of us enjoyed the movie alot though some parts are simply too lame especially the parts where the small little people started to sing and dance.

Waicheng left around 6 plus and I went over to Kino to read some books before meeting up with Agnes. Agnes came and we went to Far East Esteller for dinner. We wander around Fareast for sometime and make our way to HMV for 'free' music. Haha.

After all the free music, we stood outside Somerset's Bossini to wait for Wen to end her work. We killed time by watching cars on the road, making Agnes identify the cars for me.

Suppose to go Xzotic, this KTV pub, at Clarkequay or Boatquay(I always get confuse over the 2 places) to look for Agnes's friend ,Evonne. The place was fully packed when we reached there. The crowd there was kind of.. old. But well, we will get old some day and maybe I will visit there to chill next time. There are other KTV pubs along that stretch too. Came across this Xmosphere or something like that makes me wonder why they like to name the pubs with 'X' something. Haha.

Thought we could like get a seat in Cafe Iguana or Bull's Eye. There's no more food orders at Cafe Iguana and Bull Eye's is closing. In the end, we gave Hooters a try. As what Agnes said, we never regretted it. Great place for chicken wings and chilling up. Haha. I gonna go there for more!! However, drinks are kind of expensive there but overall the atmosphere is good.

I gonna explore new places to chill during saturdays nights and I guess the restaurants along the Clarkequay or Boatquay stretch gonna be my favorite haunt soon!
