Recently, the topics were like all about enlisting and more enlisting.
Friends talking abt how much they will miss their bfs when they enlist and how they are going to live without them by their side all those.

Come on, those guys would only be inside for like 2 weeks for now and they would be out.
And its only part and parcel of being a Singapore guy.
Nothing major would happen in these 2 weeks and its not as if they would leave them for good.

But 2 years is different.
2 years is neither a short nor long time.
Even though there are weekends where couples would meet, but many things could still happen in between. Maybe, the guys would have a change of heart.
I mentioned change of heart, it does not mean they fall for someone else.
My change of heart means they might have a different mindsap.
Like being a relationship now isn't one of their main priorities and its time for them to think about what they really want to do after that 2 years in NS. The same applies for girls too.

If the guys decided to leave because of this, its kind of understandable.
I believe they do this for the good of both parties.
It really depends on the way you see things.
Some may feel that its juz an excuse and maybe they are sick of the r/s etc.

I personally feel a guy should be responsible for his life 1st before he can be responsible for others. Some guys choose to end it early because they don't want to delay the chance of those gals finding happiness. Its not that they don't love them anymore but in a different way. Sometimes separation might not be a bad thing afterall. Its through this, people start to grow and realize what they really want. Eventually, they grow to be a better person.

No one can predict what will happen the next minute, much more 2 years.
Be glad for what you have and treasure people around you.

All couples,
There's nothing to worry about if the foundation of the r/s is strong.
With trust and faith, everything could be tied through.
Furthermore, its jus NS.

What's NS anyway?
Its just a good physical and discipline training ground for guys.
Really look forward to see what my guy friends will become after going through this.
Guys really will mature after going through this.
My brother is the best example.
My bro used to be really a lazy bum, always ordering me and my sis to do simple task for him like getting a cup of water, washing dishes.
I have no ideal what NS did to him.
After he's out, he became more responsible and he even knows how to wash his own clothes and cooks! He even cook better than me and my sis.
Maybe that's why most big chefs are guys.

Come to think of it, NS isn't that bad afterall?
