The story is about how a girl ,Jamie Sevillian , changes Landon Carter entire life at the age of 17. The setting of the story is Beaufort, North California, 1958. Landon Carter was just a typical 17 year old then. Being one of the popular guy in high school, he had no thoughts that he would even hang out with Jamie and what's more fall in love with her. Jamie, being a Minster's daughter would always carry a Bible with her where ever she goes. She's the kind of girl you would define as plain Jane. She's one of the kind girl that would count her blessings and had great faith in God.

Landon got elected as one of the student president. He had to attend the annual homecoming dance but he had no date. He was only left with one choice- Jamie. The home coming dance was what that started bringing him and Jamie together. This twist of fate of making Jamie his dance partner changed Landon's life entirely.

The author was right-- The story had you started smiling and crying in the end.. It had been such a long time since I read a book and this was truly a good book.

It was shot into a film is 2002. Mandy Moore acted as Jamie. Gonna borrow the DVD from Ching Ling le. Hehe... She's watching the Notebook today, another novel by Nicholas Sparks.

Shall I get this novel? Guess I'll waited till tml to ask Ching Ling about the show.
